I can't thank Anke enough for her gentle guidance in helping me trust that I can develop the resources to become the best mother I can be for my two boys as well as reaching some personal goals.

I find navigating the needs of everyone in the family a challenge. It seems like I'm not the only one, judging by the multitude of books and blogs on the topic of parenthood! These can be precious resources when I manage to take the time to consult them. But I find that the relationship of trust that Anke and I built over our sessions has deeply changed the way in which I perceive challenging situations with my boys. I remember Anke telling me early on in our sessions (something along the lines of) “There's no need for a revolution, a few subtle changes can make a big difference”. I now observe and query my attitude towards my children and although it's sometimes not a pleasant ride into my baggage of learned patterns or behaviours by default, I can see this self-analysis is extremely worthwhile for me as a person and as a mum. It's also reassuring to know that no matter how big the challenges seem; a few subtle changes can indeed make a difference.
I'm amazed at the well-meaning and non-judgemental way in which Anke shares with me her knowledge of parenting navigation tools at the same time as she gently drives home the fact that my partner and I, as parents, are the captains of the ship. She's always optimistic and believes in my capacity for positive change. She encourages me to trust my intuition in the choice of these tools and even to be creative and explore new paths - knowing that it's never too late to try a different approach. Over the last few months, I've seen the benefits of Anke’s questioning and suggestions flourish in our family. There's a time for maturation after our sessions, a time in which we apply and adapt her ideas to the unique personality of everyone, then see positive changes in the dynamics between the members of our family.
As the journey moves forward, I feel we are getting better equipped and have developed a capacity to listen and hear better our children’s voices and intuition as well as our own, thanks to the work we do with Anke. With the added benefit that we do our sessions in French and doing that work in my own language is an incredible bonus to get to understand things on an organic level. So, merci Anke! Bonne continuation!

"I highly recommend the service Anke provided, regarding how best to navigate and protect my teenage son’s usage of technology and devices. Her knowledgeable and informative advice and recommendations were based on current research which gave me a need for concern rather than fear. I appreciated Anke’s warm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach and she was well prepared to give me individualised and pragmatic advice for my questions and my family’s specific situation. I have gained much needed confidence and knowledge necessary to help my son safely and responsibly use technology. Thanks so much!"

"The last few weeks were so surprisingly calm and harmonious. I thought about our coaching phone call a lot! You made me realise how much I'm carrying on my shoulders at the moment. I decided to take a few additional weeks of parental leave. Phew! My sons immediately reflected my being more relaxed. Although we all had the flu for some of those weeks, we had a wonderful time. I'm trying to be calmer, proactively reducing the frantic pace of our daily life as a family, and not get upset when I can't get everything done one hundred percent. So far this works well and I think it also really helps our boys!

The biggest change for us has been your advice re structure and routine - it helps us tremendously! Since our coaching call, I also feel much more able to accept my son just like he is. I've managed to move from "but you have to..." or "you really shouldn't..." in my mind to "you are the way you are, and you need what you need and I'll help you with that" instead.

Our talk has helped me realise that I'm not the only one who struggles as a parent and that I'm not "failing". I'm sure my kids can feel this new confidence and more accepting way (toward myself, too!). Our younger son has also improved his language skills incredibly since and hasn't hit me in a long time. He can much better articulate if and what is bothering him (even if in a very loud voice sometimes!) ;)
We still struggle with sibling rivalry sometimes but there are more days with lots of fun and complicity between the two. And I'm making sure I'm creating those me-time moments for myself and recharging my batteries in order not to get back into the stressful situation I was in.

So you can see how much that single call has helped me! Many of the things we spoke about revealed themselves bit by bit afterwards and worked subconsciously without me following a strict action plan.

I hope I won't have to make another "emergency call" to you again, but I definitely would!"
Feedback from Parents
Anke’s talk was very engaging, informative and so helpful!
Very relatable and very knowledgeable
I feel empowered!
The research, tools, tips, sharing personal experiences, access to resources... all of it was very helpful and valuable! Anke is so knowledgeable!
I'm feeling more confident now in decision making around my teen being online
Showing care and empathy to a teen, gaining better insights to their world and supporting them as individuals has been the most powerful message for me personally.
Sometimes it can feel like you’re the only parents to restrict screens and phones. So it’s good to know there are other parents in the same boat that care and have the same beliefs.
The psychology behind talking to my teen in an effective way was such helpful information!
Loved the tips on how to take responsibility and stop feeling guilty!
Anke has encouraged me to stick to my boundaries and values and now I also know how to do this.
