Worried about the impacts of smartphones and social media on your child or teen but also about them feeling left out when they don't have it?

Watch this short video that sums up our dilemma as parents (and how to solve it) - you're not alone!

IT TAKES A VILLAGE... join the growing local community of parents delaying smartphones and social media for their children. We connect you with like-minded parents at your child/ren's school.

Our goal is to promote a healthy childhood, building confidence and resilience through strong relationships, play, real-world experiences, nature,

creativity and community.

New studies prove that the younger a child when they receive their first smartphone, the significantly higher the risk of mental health problems when they're a young adult (18-24). The longer their childhood is embedded in real life experiences and connections, the stronger their adaptability and resilience, motivation, logical thinking, mood and mind-body-connection later.

Make the voluntary, good-faith pledge below today.

You don't need to do anything else. We'll connect you with other parents at your local school, kindy or daycare and facilitate the initial communications.

YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR VOICE REALLY ARE POWERFUL

I’m choosing to delay getting my child/ren a smartphone until at least 14 and social media until at least 16 - for their and our family's wellbeing, and to help protect childhood for all kids in the South-West.

If you're homeschooling please just write Homeschool.

If your child is below school age feel free to enter their pre-primary facility or daycare.

Thank you for joining us and for keeping your child/ren safe for longer!

We'll be in touch soon to connect you with your school's Heads Up parent community  :)
